New book on Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young)

I am happy to share the good news: on December 8, This Day In Music Books will publish "Music is Love", the book on Crosby, Stills & Nash edited by me which collects a hundred unpublished accounts and the largest collection of CSN visuals ever published, featuring hundreds of  never- before-published images. The book also houses a large number of unpublished photographs featuring Neil Young.

The 312 color pages tell the tale of more than 50 years of CSN as artists and men, with an intro by Graham Nash.
Among the "voices" of the book: Bill Halverson (first CSN record engineer), Craig Doerge, George "Chocolate" Perry, Kenny Passarelli, Ken Weiss, Russ Kunkel, David Zimmer, Bonnie Bramlett, Rickie Lee Jones, Jeff Pevar, Roy McAlister, Paul Zollo, Mike Finnigan, Steve Silberman, Dick Boak, John Ferrentino, Glenn R Goodwin, Carolyne Mas, Pierre Robert. Plus managers, promoters, musicians, painters, luthiers, photographers, collectors from all five Continents.

Unpublished photographs (and memories) by some of the greats: Henry Diltz, Rowland Scherman, Tom Gundelfinger O'Neal, Lisa Law, Guido Harari, Luciano Viti.

The book will be available in two versions:
. standard version (hardcover)
. deluxe version* (box containing the book + additional 80-page color photo book + some collector's items - see the attached image). 
  * the first 200 copies are signed by Graham Nash

Three « new » Gram Parsons albums planned for 2023

Amoeba plans to release several Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris recordings in 2023.

Most if not all of these recording have been circulating for decades among collectors, but here’s a chance to get them officially.

It’s a “funds raising” affair which will only see the light of day if $50,000 are raised

As of today November 18, 2022, US$31,779 are raised. 

UPDATE November 22, 2022: 68 782US$ raised!

Double vinyl LP / single CD “Americana Railroad” with new John York track (November 2021)

Another ‘Better Late Than Never” announcement: the release, in November 2021, of a double vinyl LP / single CD titled “Americana Railroad” on the Renew label (Black Friday Record Store Day 2021).

The album was produced by Carla Olson, who also appears as a lead vocalist alongside Stephen McCarthy (from The Long Ryders) and Brian Ray. She also appears on many other tracks as a harmony singer or a guitar player.

This set of 19 newly released tracks includes one by John York titled “Runaway Train”.

It also includes a version of  “Train Leaves Here This Mornin’” (co-written by Gene Clark and Bernie Leadon) by Gene’s son Kay Clark.
