Ricky Mantoan R.I.P.

Our Italian correspondent Paolo C. just informed us of the passing of Ricky Mantoan.

Ricky Mantoan was an Italian country rock guitarist and singer, who worked a lot with Skip Battin and played  with Roger Mc Guinn, Sneaky Pete, Gene Parsons, John York and The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds Celebration, all of them belonging to the big Byrds family.

He was a member of the Flying Burrito Brothers for their 1984 Italian tour and appears on the LP  “Flying Burrito Brothers: Sneaky Pete Kleinow, Skip Battin, Ricky Mantoan: Live in Italy” released in 1985.
