New BILL KAFFENBERGER release available

The best 14 tracks from Kaffenberger and Antonacci's early 1980s Christian Folk-Rock LPs SOMEONE GREATER and PILGRIM, plus one bonus track, have finally been digitized, remixed and remastered with some tasteful Rickenbacker Electric 12-String guitar (à la The Byrds) added to seven of the tracks.

All the music is in the style of Neil Young - Byrds - Buffalo Springfield.

These 15 total songs are available through CD Baby at this link (digital download only):

New Byrds live CD + DVD to be released in May 2011

New Byrds live CD + DVD release planned for May 2011:

The Byrds – The Lost Broadcasts

Release Date: 9 May 2011

Label: Gonzo

Roger McGuinn, Clarence White, Gene Parsons, Skip Battin, Jimmi Seiter

The Lost Broadcasts are a series of Audio and Visual CD/DVD sets featuring performances that have rarely been seen since the original transmission on german television, in some cases more than forty years ago.

The Byrds first session from the 19th of May 1971 featured newer material including Chestnut Mare from the band’s critically well received album Untitled alongside the classic songs So You Want To Be A Rock ‘N’ Roll Star, Mr Tambourine Man and Eight Miles High. The second session comes from October 1972 and they perform three versions of Black Mountain Rag and two versions of So You Want To Be A Rock ‘N’ Roll Star.

1. Black Mountain Rag (Oct 72)

2. Chestnut Mare (May 71)

3. So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star (Oct 72)

4. Eight Miles High (May 71)

5. Black Mountain Rag (Oct 72)

6. Black Mountain Rag & Soldier's Joy (Oct 72)

7. Soldier's Joy (May 71)

8. So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star (Oct 72)

9. Chestnut Mare (May 71)

10. Mr Tambourine Man (May 71)

NOTE: this description is based on a text we found on a major retailer website. There are some errors that we will correct as soon as possible. For instance, The Byrds did not record nor appear live on german TV in October 1972. By this time, John Guerin had replaced Gene Parsons as the band's drummer, and that lineup never visited Europe.

Gene Clark's TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY to be re-released on CD at last!!!

Byrds Flyght's Long Box CD - Long Out Of Print!!!

Gene Clark's 1977 album Two Sides To Every Story to be re-released on CD at last in June 2011.

Received from Gene Clark's son Kai Clark:

Hello everyone!!!

High Moon Records will be re-releasing my father's album "Two Sides To Every Story" with the release date set to be sometime in June.

This is great news as "Two Sides To Every Story" is one of the rarest Gene Clark albums to find on CD, or at all for that matter. This will be the first time it has been released on CD in almost 20 years!!!

There will be a launch party on April 29th at the Roxy theatre in Los Angeles where I will be performing the album in its entirety with my band and also other Gene Clark gems. There will be some very special guests (some of who will be joining me on stage) at this event. Also performing will be remaining members of Love, performing their never released album "Black Beauty" album. Please go to my site to find more information and links.

Thank you all so much!

Sincerely,

Kai Clark
